Harrogate Music School Winter Concert

Despite last minute time rescheduling and a change of venue due to the cold weather, our Winter concert was a huge success, offering over 50 of our students, an opportunity to perform in the magnificent surroundings of St Wilfrid’s Church.

Performances included Piano versions of Don’t stop me now by Queen, a Charlie Brown Christmas Medley and the Perfect Pair to first solo performances of Christmas Carols and Jingle Bells by some of our younger students.

It was the end of an extremely busy weekend for some of our Cellists, who had attended and performed at a Cello workshop with Julian & Jiaxin Lloyd Webber on Saturday morning, rehearsed with our amazing Cello Choir on Saturday afternoon and then performed in our concert on Sunday.

Our 3 string ensembles (Ready Steady Bow, All Strung Out & Cello Choir) performed a delightful mixture of pieces from Susato, Corelli, Palestrina & Mozart through to a spiritual, the Beatles & Snow Patrol!

A huge thank you to St Wilfrid’s Church for accommodating us at such short notice, performing in a space like this is a very special experience.
